In short
Europe faces cyberattacks, undersea cable incidents, drone incursions, the weaponisation of migrants at borders, and organised disinformation campaigns, often linked to Russia. The EU has strengthened cyber laws, critical-infrastructure rules and platform obligations, and is building drone defences along its eastern flank.
